About Our Founder and President
Elder Cornelia Browning-Moore, LCSW, MSW, M.Div. has over thirty five years of experience in Social Work Administration and Clinical Counseling.
She is the President of The Healing Waters Counseling, Wellness, Consulting & Training Center, PLLC.
Her recent experiences encompass assisting licensed clinicians, lay counselors, and those within the helping professions, to gain a worldwide, "out-of-the-box" perspective to provide healing and restoration to individuals, communities and nations.
She has successfully served as the Executive Director of The Living Waters Counseling Center, Founder and Executive Director of Harvest Restoration, Inc, Program Director of the Bishop Hildebrand Outreach Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and as the Program Development Coordinator for the Virginia’s Community Action Programs, Community Food & Nutrition Programs and Neighborhood Assistance Programs (NAP) within the Virginia Department of Social Services, Commissioner’s Office.
She was a Clinical Social Worker at the McDonald Army Community Hospital, Fort Eustis, Virginia, and was also privileged to serve on a Women’s Wellness Team, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Elder Browning-Moore is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and provides clinical support to many of the local shelters, and is on the Newport News Domestic Violence Task Force. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hampton University, a Master of Social Work from the Atlanta University, School of Social Work, and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Union University.
Cornelia Browning-Moore is also an Elder at Restoration Christian Church, in Newport News, VA.
