Brittany G. Suggs, M.A., MPH, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor, Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral student, and Community Christian Counseling Services (CCCS) Team Member with The Healing Waters Center. Her professional backgrounds consist of formal training in psychology (B.A. from the University of Notre Dame), community mental health and pastoral counseling (M.A. from Hampton University), and public health (MPH from George Mason University). Brittany has over fifteen years of professional, volunteer, and leadership experiences in various private, nonprofit, and community agency settings with future pursuits in counselor education, mental health consultation, and global mental health program development.
Brittany utilizes an integrative clinical, multicultural, and spiritual approach guided by solution-focused techniques. She exudes a passion for supporting and empowering youth, young adult, and adult clients to navigate diverse emotional, behavioral, developmental, and relational concerns. Her clinical experiences and research interests promote technology use in counseling, collaborative and holistic mental health care, sociocultural advocacy, individual and family empowerment, race-based trauma support, and broader trauma-informed care.
